Adam Equipment Returns Policy – May 2018

The customer has the right to return a product for credit / replacement within 5 days of receipt of the product.

The product will be inspected and checked for damage, any damage to the product, its packaging and accessories will be deducted from the credit given. There will be no refund for delivery costs unless the product arrived faulty.

If a customer changes their mind or has ordered the wrong item, the company will charge a restocking fee of 20% to cover administration involved in the customer returns. If a customer subsequently orders another scale of a same or higher value then the restocking fee may be waived, however, any damage charges would still be applicable.

If the product arrived faulty then a replacement machine is to be sent out upon receipt of the faulty scale being picked up, the RMA procedure is to be followed in this instance, however, until we have arranged the collection we can not send out a replacement. We do not process a new order for the replacement and then issue a credit note against the original invoice, the RMA process is the best way to deal and track a faulty machine. Adam Equipment will organise the carriage to get the faulty scale back.

If a customer wishes to return a product after 5 days of receipt for a credit then a 50% restocking fee is applicable plus any damage charges.

In order to calculate the damage charges then the spare parts price list should be used to get the cost of replacement parts to make the product new again.

Adam Equipment Sale or Return Policy – March 2018

The company will provide sale or return products for the dealer to use to demonstrate to their customer. The dealer will first be asked to sign an evaluation form which details the product requirement and the dealer's details. The maximum period for an item to be on SOR is 14 days from the date of despatch. This is enough time for most customers to decide if they like the product and want to buy it. In extreme cases where tenders maybe applicable there maybe a need to extend this and then it will need Director Approval.

Once the agreement is signed Adam Equipment will supply the product, carriage paid to the dealer. Should the dealer then order the product then the dealer will need to be charged for the carriage as part of the order. If the dealer does not want to go ahead with the order then the dealer should return the product to us in time, the dealer is responsible for return carriage, the product will be inspected and if found to be damaged or needing replacement items to make new then the dealer will be charged according to the returns policy above.

If the SOR is for an exhibition then we should record the exhibition name on the SOR form so we know where the goods are going to. If the term of the agreement is reached and no decision is made then the dealer will be deemed to have agreed to purchase the item and an order and invoice will be raised accordingly.

There are to be no SOR orders for CB and DCT scales as these are so cheap that a dealer should purchase these products for demonstration / stock. There will also be no SOR orders for verified machines as this takes a lot of work to prepare a machine for despatch and runs the risk that it will be returned and the verification would then be useless, in cases where a customer wishes to evaluate an approved scale for multiple purchases then we can supply an approved model but without verification and all paperwork must have the a note stating that the product is a sample, not for trade use, if we can we also put a label on the machine stating this too.

Adam Equipment on Loan Policy – May 2018

The company should not loan equipment out, under any circumstances. We can hire equipment to customers who have a faulty scale that is in for repair and the normal hire charges are applicable.
